Nothing is as fulfilling as serving the people, the community. In the 1970s, NCCK hosted hundreds of internally displaced persons in Huruma. They had been evicted from the Grogon Area of Nairobi. NCCK resettled them in the area build them homes and supported them start their livelihoods. When I met them they had so much to say. We planted a tree of remembrance at Jumuia Hospital Huruma, a project of the National Council of Churches of Kenya.
